一万年后地球可能重入冰期
<P>新华社电 英国和加拿大两国科学家12日说，地球轨道定期移动会导致今后1万年至10万年间气温骤降，地球进入持久冰期。厚厚的冰层届时将覆盖包括欧洲、亚洲和北美洲在内的中纬度地区。虽然现阶段温室气体过多可能防止这一趋势，但并不证明全球变暖有利。<BR><BR> 全球气候在漫长地质年代中冷暖交替。气候寒冷时发育大规模冰川，巨大冰盖覆盖地表，地球进入冰期。两次冰期之间隔以温暖的间冰期。法新社说，这种交替据信缘于地球绕日轨道和自转轴的变化，虽然变化不大，却对到达地球的太阳热量产生巨大影响。<BR><BR> 英加两名研究人员建立一个高性能计算机模型，进一步研究冷暖交替。除考虑地球自身变化外，他们还考察作为温度指标的冰核微小气泡中二氧化碳浓度。结果发现，气候较短时期内完成冷暖交替，这种骤变获称“分叉”。</P><P> </P>
